Social Workers
The expertise of social workers ranges from Mental Health to welfare
to substance abuse to health insurance.Social workers are an integral
part of the health care team.While many physical and mental ailments
are generally the same regardless of community setting, urban, rural,
and underserved environments must be accounted for when issues on
social well-being are being examined.Arguably one of the most versatile
health worker, one of them many strengths of social workers is their
knowledge of cultural sensitivity.Diversity is an important issue
especially in underserved and minority communities.Alongside public
health officials, social workers must educate other clinicians to
be culturally competent.
