The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved
is proud to be an active member of the Partnership for Medicaid,
a coalition of safety net providers and other organizations
dedicated to preserving and improving the Medicaid program.
At our weekly meetings on Thursday mornings, we discuss ideas
for reform proposals, share "intelligence" about
the work Congress is doing, and make sure that our various
member constituencies are represented. Through a collective
process, we deliberate, then take action as the Partnership
for Medicaid.
To date, our goal has been two-fold: To ensure that budget
reconciliation does the least amount of harm possible to the
Medicaid program, and to work with the Medicaid Commission
and members of Congress towards long-term reforms to make
Medicaid better for the low-income, vulnerable populations
it serves.
To find out more about we have been doing, please read the
documents below, which outline the Partnership's core principles
as well as positions on substantive topics in Medicaid reform. |
