ACU Partners

ACU works in partnership with other organizations to bring information and resources to our members to support their clinical practice on behalf of the underserved. Our partners include: 

Allergy and Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA)
ACU collaborates with the AANMA to present ACU’s Pediatric Environmental Trigger Management education and resources in English and Spanish to multicultural professional and paraprofessional teams through webinars and other CME/CEU meetings. 

American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM)
ACU is part of the ACPM team to present ACU’s Pediatric Environmental Trigger Management education and resources in English and Spanish to preventive medicine specialists through webinars and other CME/CEU meetings.  

CancerCare
Through our partnership agreement, ACU members receive access to professional and consumer education opportunities to enhance the clinical services they provide to caregivers and patients living with cancer.

National Center for Health in Public Housing (NCHPH)
Through a subcontract with North American Management in Arlington, Va., ACU provides clinical expertise in prevention and chronic disease management to the health care teams working in HRSA’s community health center grantees which provide primary care services to public housing communities.  ACU co-hosts the annual conference for this special population and assists in conference planning.

National Center for Primary Care (NCPC)
ACU offers a national network of health professionals to assist the NCPC with professional education, resource sharing and research dissemination to national and regional clinical networks. 

National Center for Farmworker Health  (NCFH)
ACU collaborates with NCFH on education and training of our members  through dissemination of resources in migrant health services.

National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved (NHIT)
The National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved was established in 2008 with the goal of leveraging advances in health IT to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities experienced by medically underserved areas and populations, particularly communities of color or other underserved communities. ACU is a founding member of the management team and leads the workforce development and training workgroup.

National Parkinson Foundation  (NPF)
ACU and NPF are working together to provide ACU members with continuing professional education opportunities as well as culturally appropriate patient education resources for use with their patients.

Practicing Clinicians Exchange (PCE)
PCE is a leader in providing continuing professional education for nurse practitioners and physician assistants through live symposia, home study and Internet-based learning. Through its partnership with ACU, PCE intends to expand its educational offerings to address caring for the underserved and health disparities. Throughout the year, PCE offers complimentary, full-day symposia - details are available on the PCE Web site.
